No one could be more stoked on Paris Hilton's enforced sentence than Lindsay Lohan. This makes her rehab look like a jog around the block in a bikini and high heels while smoking.

I loved that movie.

However, this is not about a movie. I just can't understand why Paris didn't use a driver. Her cars are very nice, and probably really fun to drive, but she can SO afford a driver. I just don't get that kind of hubris. I am so glad the media is using its "news" and technological resources to follow her saga. I cannot take the allegation that she's suicidal seriously. Narcissists do not want to die.

I think all those people stuck at JFK due to a "computer glitch" are stoked by the energy put behind this Paris thing. Fortunately for them, they will have hours and hours to sit and watch it. I also think it's great that this failure of the system to have any balls hasn't started a race riot. Seriously. Are there too many super rich white girls in county lock up?

This past weekend I got to spend a little time w/ my infant neice. We've met before, but she was too busy to notice me. That's ok. She's a baby. It's nice. It seemed like she almost inherently knew we were related. We (her mom, me, and her) saw the last date of the Arcade Fire tour @ the Greek in Berkeley. She was the most adorable girl there. The show rocked and she slept. Her temperment is so different from my nephew's. He's such a BOY. And she's such a little lady. Today she's tearing up my catalogs, tomorrow she'll be ripping the cover off be my Italian Vogue...sigh...They grow up so fast.
