Lauren Conrad Works?

I had heard that THE HILLS was picked up for its 5th season, but didn't care why. Now I see it's because Lauren Conrad looks 37. It's horrible to see how being on a barely watchable (I can't. She just keeps showing up in grocery store magazines!) "reality" show accelerates the aging process. Let this be a lesson kids, wear sun screen every day and avoid the damaging rays of reality TV. Coincidentally, I was looking at the Revolve Clothing site sale and a few of her pieces are marked down + 25% off and they still can't make me believe I need 'em. Like so many things I've seen of late, I can wait for it. Do you think LC will end the show with a real position in a business that actually exists? I also feel she could easily do her own jewelry, shoe and/or accessory design. Wait. Maybe she'll go the way of Shoshanna: swimwear. Notice I did not say she'd do it well. Any opinions?

Pair of Shoebills

Sorry it's been a while. My stomach is killing me. The holiday thing, you know... Anyway, this pair of Shoebills is my vote for the Hero Of '08, besides President Elect Obama, is journalist, Muntadar al-Zeidi. I love that he managed to jettison BOTH shoes at Bush. A couple broken ribs and a busted wrist are worth the obvious risks. I'm pleased that so many of his countrymen are standing up and demanding his release. My house guest from Niger nearly lost his shit when he saw it on TV. He asked me three times if it was real. Then we both had a good laugh. Because it's funny and because he speaks only French, but was somehow able to communicate w/ me enough to ask. We watched it on three or four different stations, over and over. He was pleased w/ our TV, which is likely the biggest he's ever seen and I was pleased by his delight at watching it again and again w/ the click of a button.

I hope someone throws a pair of Shoebills at me. Oh, I gotta go. Things to do, people to ignore...

I Like Kid Rock

I am into Kid Rock's point of view. I strongly encourage PETA to educate Kid Rock ASAP. I admire a hands on approach. And I hope someone's running video.

I am so sorry to hear that Bettie Page is critically ill. Has anyone empowered dark haired hotties and doms like her? I've read she's in seclusion and felt ashamed of her iconic photographs, but I can't share in her shame. Without her, retro glamour, lingerie modeling and BDSM would STILL be off the common radar. Her past may have preceded her, but what a past it was. Is. Her images make men beat their dicks like it owes them money and makes women wish they could achieve that response with as much clothes on. Timeless, classic and so far ahead of her time.
