Better Late Than Never

Here's my choice for 2008 "It Girl", Zooey Deschanel. Even if she was 2007's It Girl. Yeah, whatever. I refuse to watch Gossip Girl. She dwells in the same realm as Chloe Sevigny in her irrefutable style, "keep 'em guessing" roles, and general fashion presence. I still like her and I love her personal style.

Get To Work

Now I know what my Nephew will be doing this Fall to help offset the costs of his daycare. We can give the toys as gifts. Except just like w/ everything w/ kids, it will end up taking up twice as much time and effort as I budgeted...or I could just leave him in there for "the claw" to deal with. Lord knows I'd never hear the end of that.

This may be the greatest silent film. Not a frame wasted. There's a beginning, a middle and an end. Very refreshing compared to the movies available now.

MJ Still Not Married

Here's a gossip entry stating that Marc Jacobs didn't get married this weekend. Let me welcome same sex couples to the happy "privlege" of marriage. And divorce. And custody battles. And splitting up the assets. I can't believe we haven't yet evolved past this. By "we" I mean everyone.

Stage 15 - Embrun Prato Nevoso 183 km

The Tour de France is something that is around me because I am around bikes. My Old Man loves bikes and has four. The Tour is about bikes and how fucking hard it is to ride a bike like that. Today I was finally impressed enough to write about it. I've been watching for more than 10 years. Australian, Simon Gerrrans won Stage 15 like a fucking madman. Now I know, surely my attention would have been drawn like a magnet to the recent doping scandals. Interestingly enough, not so much.

I gotta hand it to these riders. They are certifiable and they've been doing it since 1903! Crazy.

Lovin' Small Leather Goods

This is my new favorite small leather item. The ABAS Card file. Simplicity at its best!! Lately, I've been really into small leather goods. Don't know what my problem is, but small bright leather things are my new infatuation. The orange is TDF and the turquoise leather lining is so freakin' cool plus I can see it in the abyss of my huge bag!

Although Bryan Boy is not wild about the new LV Momogramouflage, I will never give up on the floppy bag!! You simply can not over stuff a structured bag and I always over stuff. Even Marc Jacobs' structured bags can go that perfect kind of slouchy!
